Apartment Splendid Marjan
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartment Splendid Marjan on Senjska street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Split. This four-star property sits right in the heart of the old town — and I mean literally in the heart, not just “close to everything” like so many places claim. The building has that perfect blend of historic Croatian charm with modern touches that actually work together instead of fighting each other.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re genuinely walking distance from Diocletian’s Palace, the Riva waterfront, and all those little side streets where locals grab their morning coffee. But you know what’s even better? You’re not stuck in the tourist chaos 24/7. Senjska street gives you that sweet spot where you can duck back to your place when the crowds get overwhelming, which honestly happens pretty quickly in Split during peak season. The fact that couples rate this location 9.9 out of 10 makes total sense — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to dinner without dealing with taxis or figuring out bus routes.
The Space Itself
The apartment setup here is what really sets this place apart from typical hotel rooms. You get proper space to spread out, which matters more than you’d think when you’re traveling. I mean, where else are you going to put all those Croatian souvenirs you definitely didn’t plan to buy? The beds deserve their own mention — they’re genuinely comfortable, not just “hotel comfortable.” After walking around Split’s stone streets all day (trust me, your feet will feel it), you’ll appreciate sinking into something that actually supports your back properly.
Practical Perks
Let’s talk about something most places in Split’s old town can’t offer — free private parking on site. If you’ve ever tried to park near Diocletian’s Palace, you’ll understand why this is basically like finding gold. No circling around narrow medieval streets hoping for a miracle, no paying ridiculous daily rates at public lots. You just pull up and you’re done. It’s one of those details that seems small until you need it, then it becomes the best part of your whole trip.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.5 rating isn’t just numbers — it reflects how this place handles the little things that make or break a stay. The location score of 9.8 tells you everything about how well-positioned you’ll be for exploring Split without the usual tourist trap headaches. Whether you’re planning romantic evening walks along the waterfront or just want a comfortable base for day trips to nearby islands, this spot delivers on the practical stuff while still feeling special. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually want to hang out in your room instead of just using it to crash at night.
Early hotels booking in Split secures yacht regatta decks, klapa concerts, and private island picnics.

Guest Reviews
Great views overlooking the old town and bay. We enjoyed our breakfasts and suppers on the terrace while viewing the scenery.
Bed was better than we’ve had anywhere else on our travels.
Hospitable and flexible host helped make our visit easy and stress-free. We also got great tips on restaurants and sights - Thank you Elena!
It had everything we needed for our family stay.
Hosts were super friendly and helpful.
This was a great find.
We was given so much information about the area on arrival by the the owners and communication on our way to the apartment was very good.
A lovely 1 bedroom apartment, with a bathroom, lounge area and dining area. There was a couple of seating areas outside to sit out on the terrace.
We thought parking was going to be a problem when we got there because of the amount of cars but no we had a space to back the car into where it stayed until we left. We didn’t need to get the car out again. Everything was close by.
The apartment was spotless. The kitchen had everything you needed but we didn’t do any cooking while we was there as we had fresh bread with ham and cheese for breakfast and eat out every day.
The bed was so comfortable and we stayed when they had really hot weather but with the air con on and the bedroom door open it was just right.
On the first might we could see 2 eyes at the patio door which was the dog from down stairs, she came and visited us each night which was lovely and would sit with us for a while. There is also a cat who came to visit but even though the patio door was open they never came inside the apartment.
It was so nice to sit out at night looking at the amazing views over Split but it was only a 5 minute walk down into the harbour and town. Even though I have a few walking problems I still made it back up the hill in 10 minutes so if I can do it anyone can and that was after spending the day walking around Split.
Make sure you visit the palace, so much history there
