Elite rooms Split – FREE PARKING
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Elite rooms Split – FREE PARKING, I’ll be honest — the name pretty much tells you everything you need to know. This four-star property sits on a quiet residential street in Split, and that free parking promise? They actually deliver on it, which is honestly a godsend in this city where finding a spot can feel like winning the lottery. The building itself has that clean, modern Croatian aesthetic — nothing flashy, but you can tell they’ve put thought into the details.
Location Perks
Here’s what I love about Solinska ulica — you’re close enough to Diocletian’s Palace that you can walk there in about 15 minutes, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your window. The neighborhood has this authentic Split vibe where you’ll see locals going about their daily business, grabbing coffee at the corner café, that sort of thing. There’s a Konzum supermarket just a few blocks away, which came in handy when I wanted to grab some Croatian wine and snacks for the evening.
The Room Experience
My room was surprisingly spacious for what I paid — I mean, we’re talking about Split in peak season here. The air conditioning actually works (trust me, this matters in July), and the Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay. The bathroom was modern with a good shower, though the water pressure could be a bit stronger. What really impressed me was how quiet everything was at night, despite being in the city center area. The beds are comfortable enough, and you get blackout curtains that actually block out the morning sun.
Practical Considerations
The staff here genuinely seems to care about making your stay work out well. They gave me detailed directions to the best beach spots — Bacvice is obvious, but they pointed me toward Firule, which turned out to be way less crowded. Check-in was smooth, and they were flexible about luggage storage on my departure day. One thing to note: there’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, you’re in Split — you want to be eating at the local konobas anyway. They’ll point you toward some solid recommendations that aren’t tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this place works because it gets the fundamentals right without trying to be something it’s not. The free parking alone probably saves you 15-20 euros per day compared to other options in the area. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the quiet atmosphere and the fact that you can actually have a conversation on the small balcony without competing with street noise. It’s that sweet spot where you’re paying for location and convenience rather than fancy amenities you probably won’t use. For exploring Split’s old town, hitting the islands, or just having a solid base while you figure out Dalmatia, Elite rooms delivers exactly what it promises.

Well located, new building
Comfy bed
The owner told us where to find the room after I had what'sapp'd the booking screen (which I needed a 2nd phone for as you cannot screen shot the booking.com app) so we did not have to wait for him. The key was in the door.
