Heritage Hotel FERMAI MGallery Split
First Impressions
Walking up to Heritage Hotel FERMAI MGallery Split, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Split. This four-star boutique property sits right in the heart of the old town, and honestly — the location couldn’t be better. You’re literally steps away from Diocletian’s Palace, which means you can duck back to your room between sightseeing without the usual tourist trek. The building itself has this wonderful blend of historic charm and modern sophistication that MGallery hotels do so well.
The Perfect Split Location
I mean, when couples rate the location 9.4 out of 10, you know it’s something special. What I love about staying here is that you’re tucked away on Livanjska ulica — close enough to everything but not right on the main tourist drag where it gets crazy loud at night. You can walk to the Riva waterfront in about two minutes, and the ferry terminal is just a short stroll if you’re planning day trips to the islands. Actually, being this central means you’ll probably end up walking everywhere instead of dealing with taxis or buses.
Rooms and Comfort
The rooms here strike that perfect balance between historic character and modern comfort. You’ll find thoughtful touches throughout — good lighting for actually reading, proper blackout curtains (trust me, this matters when you’re jet-lagged), and bathrooms that feel genuinely luxurious without being over the top. The air conditioning works brilliantly, which you’ll appreciate during those sweltering Split summers. What really impressed me was the attention to detail — from the quality linens to the way they’ve preserved original architectural elements while keeping everything feeling fresh and contemporary.
Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
Now, the breakfast situation here is honestly impressive. They’ve got everything covered — continental options, full English if that’s your thing, plus vegetarian and gluten-free choices that actually taste good (not just afterthoughts). The buffet setup works well, but I particularly appreciated that they offer breakfast to go if you’re catching an early ferry or want to picnic somewhere scenic. The quality is consistently high, and the local Croatian specialties they include give you a real taste of the region without having to venture out first thing in the morning.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something about this place that just works — maybe it’s the way the staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, or how the hotel manages to feel both intimate and professional. The fact that they offer private parking is actually a huge deal in Split’s old town, where finding a spot can be a nightmare. You know what really sets it apart though? It’s one of those hotels where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretension. The 9.4 rating isn’t just about the prime location — it’s about how everything comes together to create exactly the kind of Split experience most travelers are hoping for.

Guest Reviews
These two Supermen flew to us as soon as I hanged up my SOS call as the taxi driver was trying to charge us 186 euro from port of split to the hotel with his magic meter. Normally it cost around 20 euro… Especially Branimir helped to negotiate and guard us to move ourselves and our huge luggages out from the car. We ended up only paid what he deserved.
Nevertheless, we believe this is not common in Croatia as everyone we met during our trips in Split and Hvar so far are super nice and sincere. This guy is totally an exception. Wish this won’t happen to anyone again.
Bed was fantastic and shower was awesome!
The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard and everything has been very thoughtfully done.
Attention to detail in all aspects.
