The Riva waterfront promenade is practically at your doorstep, and those narrow stone streets of the old town become your playground. I’ve stayed in Split before where you need to take buses or taxis to get anywhere interesting — not here. Couples especially seem to love this spot (they rate the location 9.5, which honestly makes sense), and I can see why. There’s something romantic about stepping out your door and being surrounded by 1,700 years of history, plus all the cafes and restaurants you could want.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run four-star place — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Nothing overly flashy, but everything worked perfectly. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during those hot Croatian summer days, and the Wi-Fi was actually reliable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case). What I appreciated most was the attention to detail — good lighting, enough outlets, and a bathroom that didn’t feel cramped. It’s the kind of place where you can tell someone actually thought about what travelers need.

Breakfast here covers all the bases — they do continental, vegetarian, and vegan options, which is pretty thoughtful. I mean, finding good vegan breakfast options in Croatia isn’t always easy, so that’s a nice touch. The spread was fresh and had enough variety to keep you happy whether you’re planning a day of sightseeing or just want to fuel up before hitting the beach. Nothing too fancy, but solid and satisfying. Plus, there’s parking available on-site, which — trust me — is worth its weight in gold when you’re dealing with Split’s narrow streets and limited spaces.

  Location was very good, owner was extremely helpful, room was excellent. We were a bit worried with parking but we were lucky and found a space on the street right in front of the house for €18 a day (just a heads up you need to increase 10c at a time which for 3 days ended up being a gazillion button clicks but it has nothing to do with the room, just Split). Owner also pointed out a free parking nearby but we opted to leave the rental car closer to us and pay the daily fee.
