Here’s the thing about staying in Split’s old town — location can make or break your experience, and this place absolutely nails it. You’re maybe a two-minute walk from Diocletian’s Palace, which honestly feels surreal when you’re heading out for morning coffee. The narrow cobblestone streets that lead to the main squares are right at your doorstep, but somehow the hotel manages to feel tucked away from the tourist crowds. I noticed couples seem particularly drawn to this spot, and after spending time here, I totally get why — there’s something romantic about having all of Split’s most beautiful corners within such easy reach.

The room I stayed in struck that perfect balance between historic charm and modern comfort. You know what I appreciated most? The attention to detail — quality linens, thoughtful lighting, and windows that actually open to let in those Mediterranean breezes. The design feels authentically Croatian without being kitschy about it. Everything works properly (which isn’t always a given in old town properties), and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in, not just survive.

Practical Perks

One thing that genuinely surprised me was the parking situation — they actually have free on-site parking, which is basically like finding gold in Split’s old town. If you’ve ever tried to navigate a rental car through these medieval streets, you’ll understand why this is such a big deal. Most places in this area either don’t offer parking at all or charge premium rates for spots that are blocks away. Having secure parking right at the property removes a major headache from your Split experience.

  Really cool apartment with a mix of old and new in such a perfect location. You get your own private courtyard, shared with a church. They provided everything you needed in the kitchen and for laundry. Branimir, the host, was so incredibly helpful. He answered all of our questions, provided recommendations, and helped us with transportation.

  This home was absolutely magnificent and in the heart of the old town. It is beautifully renovated and the layout is amazing, super comfortable and unique. The host is the most wonderful person, who takes care of every detail, including airport transfers, restaurant reservations and even arranged an evening at the opera for us. It was unbelievable!!!

  The description as luxury is accurate. Location is also 10/10; the host even went out of his way to locate convenient free parking for us and then helped us with our luggage. This is a top quality property which was not only historic itself but also perfectly located for any visit to Split. There are local amenities everywhere around including convenience stores, bakeries and every kind of restaurant you could imagine.
