Here’s the thing about Split — location is everything, and this place nailed it. You’re maybe thirty seconds from the Peristyle (the main square inside the palace walls) and about two minutes from the Riva waterfront promenade. I watched couples wandering back from dinner at 11 PM looking completely relaxed, which makes sense given that guests rate the location 9.8 out of 10. The narrow stone streets can get busy during peak hours, but early morning or evening? It’s like having this UNESCO World Heritage site almost to yourself.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — actually, calling it compact sells it short because every inch serves a purpose. What really impressed me was the bed situation; they weren’t kidding about the comfort factor. After walking Split’s stone streets all day (and trust me, your feet will feel it), sinking into those beds was genuinely restorative. The windows open onto either the historic streets or interior courtyards, and there’s something magical about falling asleep to the sound of footsteps echoing off ancient stones.

Mornings here have this particular rhythm that I found addictive. The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, but honestly, that’s not a problem when you’re surrounded by some of Croatia’s best dining options. Villa Spiza is literally around the corner for lunch, and Bokeria for dinner is maybe a three-minute walk. The staff — and this matters more than you’d think — actually knows the neighborhood. They’ll tell you which konoba serves the best peka on Tuesday nights or where to find decent coffee before 7 AM (spoiler: it’s not easy in Split).

  Perfectly located in the old town in Split, convenient to walk everywhere that we wanted to go. Amazing service offered by the property to meet us and our car, then move it to the parking garage and even get it into the ferry queue early the next day. Room was spacious and very comfortable and all staff that we met were very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again if we return to Split.
