Honestly, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but Royal Suites-Sky delivers on that promise in a way that’ll save you both time and money. You’re a genuine two-minute walk from Diocletian’s Palace — not the tourist-trap version of “close,” but actually close. The Riva waterfront promenade is right there, and you can easily explore the maze of ancient streets without needing any transport. What I really appreciated was having parking available on-site, because let’s be real — driving in Split’s old town can be a nightmare, and finding a spot is usually impossible.

The room I stayed in exceeded what I expected from a four-star property. The space felt more like a boutique hotel suite than a standard accommodation — high ceilings, modern furnishings that actually looked comfortable rather than just stylish, and windows that let in plenty of natural light. The bathroom was particularly well-designed, with a rainfall shower that had proper water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older European buildings). What struck me most was the attention to practical details — plenty of outlets, good WiFi throughout, and blackout curtains that actually worked.

In the morning, you can grab coffee from one of the local cafés and watch the city wake up, then spend your day exploring Roman ruins that are literally older than most European cities. The evening scene is equally compelling — the nearby restaurant options range from traditional konobas serving fresh seafood to contemporary spots that locals actually frequent. I found myself coming back to the hotel throughout the day just because it was so easy to drop off shopping bags or take a quick break.

  First of all, Antonio was an amazing host. We arrived way later than anticipated (11pm) yet he still welcomed us warmly and carried our luggage up to our room. The room was immaculate, very clean and spacious.
  The location is perfect, walking distance of everything in the center and close to the port.
  Overall by far the best service we have received in Croatia. Cannot recommend this place enough.

  Antonio made our stay very special. He had great insights into the city, accommodated our (unexpected) very late arrival, and accommodated our requests. The room itself was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view.

  This small boutique hotel is conveniently located, only 10 minutes walk from the central bus station. Our room was very clean and comfortable with gorgeous view of the city of Split, and amazing that of the sunset! Above all, it was the hotel owner who personally led and showed us the room and explaining everything to us…nice personal touch.

  We did not get breakfast with our room, although the staff was kind enough to provide us with a takeaway breakfast when we had an early departure for the airport. In other matters, the staff was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely informative about the must-see city attractions. They also were able to get us dinner reservations at a restaurant that we really wanted to try when there were no reservations to be had before 9 pm. They also arranged transportation to the airport upon our departure. The room was well-equipped. There were even beach towels had we been inclined to hang out at one of the nearby beaches. The view from our room of the harbor and the neighboring islands was outstanding. This is a first-class hotel!

  Great room on the 12 floor with windows all across and amazing views of split and the marina. The room was great modern and spotless. Comfortable bed and sheets. American channels on TV 📺 including Fox News which I loved since none of the other hotels had American channels. The room had a folder with all the information you need in split, sights to see, timetables…etc. Brilliant idea saved me time. Water bottles,kettle, safe in the room. Loved staying here and hopefully will come back again. Tony thank you for everything and the chocolate you brought me before I left.
