Here’s what I love about the location — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but tucked away on a quieter street so you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tourists walking past your window. The palace walls are right there, Riva waterfront is a short stroll, and you can actually walk to the ferry terminal without breaking a sweat. What really surprised me though is how couples seem to gravitate toward this place — apparently they rate the location almost perfect for romantic getaways, and I can see why.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve had in Split. Everyone talks about the beds here, and they’re not exaggerating — after walking around those ancient stone streets all day, sinking into that mattress feels like heaven. The rooms have this modern Croatian design that doesn’t try too hard, with clean lines and just enough local touches to remind you where you are. Air conditioning works perfectly too, which you’ll definitely appreciate during those hot summer months.

You know what’s actually a big deal in Split’s old town area? Free parking. Villa Domina has private parking, and if you’ve ever tried to find a spot near the palace during peak season, you’ll understand why this is huge. No circling around for twenty minutes or paying ridiculous daily rates — just pull in and you’re done. It’s one of those things that seems small until you really need it, then you realize how much stress it saves you.

  Amazing staff, who let us check in at 10am. The location is the best, comfy beds, really clean and the kitchen and bathroom are modern and very well equipped. There is also a walk in closet which isn’t shown in the photos. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

  Absolutely as beautiful and luxurious as the photos! This was the perfect place. It was only 5 minutes walking to Diocletian’s Palace but more than that it was potentially the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The shower was the best and there is everything you need provided for you. It was above and beyond, it felt like we were staying in a top hotel and the hosts were so lovely and kind. The free parking was also a huge plus and we wish we could have stayed longer!

  Loved the location. Plenty of linens and comfortable beds. Nice to have 2 beds available. The response from the host was always prompt. Having laundry in the apartment wa better than expected. We felt safe in the area & in the apartment. Having a grocery store next to the apartment worked out perfectly for our wine consumption.

  Excellent location, walking distance from the old center and the sea. The host was very friendly and provide me a free parking close to the property. There was good quality coffee and even a shaving cream in the bathroom. Bed is with very good mattresses and very comfortable.
