Villa Naomi
First Impressions
Honestly, Villa Naomi caught me off guard in the best way possible. Tucked away on a quiet residential street in Split, this four-star boutique property feels more like staying at a stylish friend’s place than a typical hotel. The moment you pull up — and yes, there’s actually free parking right on site, which is practically gold in Split — you’ll notice the modern Mediterranean architecture that somehow manages to feel both contemporary and timeless.
The Perfect Split Location
What I love about Villa Naomi’s location is that it strikes this perfect balance between being close to everything but away from the tourist chaos. You’re literally a 10-minute walk from Diocletian’s Palace, but you won’t hear drunk backpackers stumbling around at 3 AM. The neighborhood has this authentic Croatian residential vibe — you know, locals walking their dogs, small cafes where people actually live rather than just visit. I mean, couples rate this place incredibly highly, and I totally get why. It’s intimate without being isolated.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was honestly better than I expected from the photos online. Clean lines, neutral tones, and these gorgeous marble accents that feel distinctly Croatian but not kitschy. The bathroom was spacious — actually spacious, not “European spacious” — and the shower had proper water pressure. What really impressed me was the attention to detail: quality linens, blackout curtains that actually work, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine. The balcony overlooked the quiet street, which was perfect for morning coffee.
Dining and Amenities
While Villa Naomi doesn’t have its own restaurant, this actually works in your favor. The staff — who are genuinely helpful, not just going through the motions — will point you toward some incredible local spots within walking distance. There’s this family-run konoba about five minutes away that serves the best peka I’ve had in Croatia, and honestly, you wouldn’t find it without a local recommendation. The villa does offer breakfast service, and it’s that perfect continental spread with local touches — fresh Croatian cheeses, homemade pastries, and coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a machine.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Villa Naomi isn’t trying to be the flashiest place in Split, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s polished without being pretentious, comfortable without being boring. The fact that recent guests rated the location 8.1 out of 10 tells you everything — this is where you want to be if you actually want to experience Split rather than just check it off a list. You’re close enough to walk to the palace, the waterfront, and the best restaurants, but far enough away that you can actually get a good night’s sleep. Plus, that free parking situation? In a city where most hotels charge extra for everything, it’s refreshing to find a place that just includes what you need.

Supermarket 2 minutes away at the bottom of the street and an €8.50 Uber to the old town /harbour
It had everything we needed as two couples sharing. Two decent size bedrooms a main bathroom and a shower room.
The air conditioning was an absolute relief from the heat we experienced.
We had a lovely balcony to sit and dry any beach towels
The location is a couple of kilometres away from the old town and bay. We decided on Ubers which were only around 7/8 Euros.
The staff were super friendly and helpful and were there if we needed anything.
