Sailor Boutique Rooms Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Sailor Boutique Rooms on Ulica kralja Zvonimira, you immediately get that feeling this place is something special. It’s tucked into one of Split’s most coveted neighborhoods, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. This four-star boutique property has that intimate vibe you just can’t get at the bigger chain hotels — you know what I mean, where the staff actually remembers your name and your coffee preferences.

The Perfect Split Base

Here’s the thing about the location — it’s absolutely brilliant. You’re close enough to Diocletian’s Palace that you can wander over for evening strolls, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your window. The neighborhood feels authentically Croatian, with local cafés and that relaxed Mediterranean pace that makes Split so addictive. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot 9.6 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why.

Your Room Experience

The room design strikes this perfect balance between modern comfort and coastal charm. Each space feels thoughtfully curated rather than cookie-cutter corporate — there’s actual personality in the details. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for a boutique property. What I really appreciated was how quiet everything stays, even though you’re in the heart of the city. The attention to detail extends to premium linens and rainfall showerheads that elevate the everyday experience.

Morning Fuel and Practical Perks

Breakfast here actually impressed me — they’ve got continental options, but also proper vegetarian and vegan choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. If you’re the type who likes to grab something and explore early, they’ll sort you out with breakfast to go, which is honestly pretty thoughtful. And here’s something that’ll save you headaches and money — the parking is completely free. Trust me, if you’ve ever tried to park in Split’s old town, you’ll understand why this is such a big deal. The apartment-style suites also feature a kitchenette for guests who prefer preparing their own meals.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Split has plenty of accommodation options, but Sailor Boutique Rooms gets those little things right that make a trip memorable rather than just functional. The staff genuinely cares about your experience, the location puts you right where you want to be without the chaos, and everything feels authentic rather than manufactured for tourists. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next Split visit before you’ve even checked out — and honestly, with ratings consistently hovering around 9.5, that seems to be exactly what most guests experience. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or a cultural exploration base, this property delivers on all fronts.

To book hotel in Split for Diocletian’s Palace sunsets, travelers grab rooms early to pair island ferries with wine caves.

Reviews of Sailor Boutique Rooms

  • Great hotel with a very kind host! – Ugonma from United States of America (10/10)

I really enjoyed my stay at Sailor Boutique Rooms! The room was very clean and I enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee on the balcony. The room also isn’t too far from old town, it’s a very nice walk. Drazen was an exceptional host who made my stay very special! He picked me up from the airport (and even took me back the next day because my luggage arrived a day late). When my trip was over he dropped me off at the port to catch the ferry to Hvar. He even taught me some Croatian words and shared some insights into Croatian culture which I really appreciated. On my birthday, he even bought me chocolate! I highly recommend this hotel, including for people traveling solo as Drazen will make the trip worth it!

  • Amazing all round stay! – Sophie from United Kingdom (10/10)

The hotel was in a great location, close to the old town and the beach! The hosts were very accommodating; even prior to our arrival! The hotel was so clean and exactly as advertised online. Would absolutely recommend!

  • Definitely recommend! – Isabel from Estonia (10/10)

Everything was beautiful and clean, looked just like in the pictures. We had a lovely room with a balcony. The host family was very friendly and welcoming. Location was great! Beach and city centre were just a 10min walk away.

  • Great central location. – Kleanthis from Cyprus (10/10)

Central location. 15 mins walk to the harbour. On a busy road but the quality of the windows we heard absolutely nothing. Good quality sheets on the bed and towels. Spotlessly clean. Silent ac unit and quality bathroom. Owners are fantastic and accommodating. Highly recommend this place

  • Fabulous, comfortable, clean and very close to the main centre for restaurants and bars! – Emily from United Kingdom (10/10)

The accommodation was brilliant, design was so modern and so well thought out. Very good location in Split and comfortable! We received check ins to make sure everything was okay throughout our stay and our host Rafael sorted transportation for us to and from the accommodation. 100% recommend.

  • Wonderful – Stephens from Croatia (9/10)

    Clean and modern facilities.

  • Great location and room and worth your money. – Gabby from Ireland (9/10)

Don’t be fooled by the outside this property is in the best location for the price you’re paying. 10/15 minute walk into the old town ( a straight walk down literally ) and another 10 minute to the local beach Bacvice. Although I would recommend taking an Uber which takes 20 mins from this location to kasjuni beach or even better to gooshter beach. There’s only 3 rooms in total so not noisy or crowded. Drazen is a lovely host who checks in via WhatsApp to check if you need anything which is nice and even can pick you up from the airport for a small fee. You have the option to do a self check in which we did and it was very straight forward and easy. Room is very modern which has AC and a big bed and a lot of closet space. Bathroom is good and modern too with a waterfall shower head and a regular shower head. There’s a balcony which is small with 2 seats outside and the view isn’t amazing just tress but still nice. Room was clean and fresh towels were on the bed on arrival. 10/10 recommend if your coming to split and need a good and affordable room.

  • Sailor Apartments are an excellent base for sightseeing around Split and the surrounding islands – Iain from United Kingdom (10/10)

A family run very modern and clean apartment, great shower, air-conditioning with a very large comfortable bed. Also has a well stocked mini bar cooler, we used it for beer, wine and sandwiches which we bought from the supermarket round the corner.
The apartment is an approximate 15 min walk down the hill to the very picturesque harbour front, restaurants, bars and shops.
The friendly host Rafael picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and was always on hand for advice.
The evening before we left Rafael's Dad (Drazen) invited us out and paid for drinks at the local bar which was a lovely gesture and very enjoyable.

  • Brilliant location for couple holiday – Daniel from United Kingdom (10/10)

Owner was really friendly, offered transfer from airports for a reasonable fee, helped with anything we needed and even took us out for a drink on the last night. Great hospitality

  • We liked the town the people it was a rally beautiful city. – Dianne from Australia (10/10)

It was really good and the location was great to and not many stairs which was great to.
