Split Industrial Design Rooms
First Impressions
Walking into Split Industrial Design Rooms, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical Croatian hotel. The name pretty much says it all — exposed brick, sleek metal fixtures, and concrete elements that somehow feel warm rather than cold. It’s this four-star property that sits right on Vukovarska ulica, and honestly, the design team nailed that industrial-chic vibe without making it feel like you’re sleeping in a warehouse. The reception area has this understated cool factor that makes you think the owners actually know what they’re doing.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Vukovarska — you’re basically in the sweet spot of Split without being right in the tourist chaos of Diocletian’s Palace. I mean, you can walk to the old town in about ten minutes, but you’re not dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight. The street itself has that authentic Split energy with local cafes and shops, plus you’re close enough to the Riva waterfront that morning coffee walks become a habit. Recent guests have been raving about the location, and I get why — it’s that perfect balance of accessible but not overwhelming.
The Rooms
The industrial design concept really shines in the rooms themselves. Think polished concrete floors, Edison bulb lighting, and furniture that looks like it belongs in a design magazine (but actually functions well for travelers). The beds are surprisingly comfortable — sometimes these design-forward places forget about basics like decent mattresses, but Split Industrial Design Rooms actually gets it right. Storage is smart too, with built-in wardrobes and shelving that maximizes space without cluttering the clean aesthetic. The bathrooms continue the industrial theme with rainfall showers and modern fixtures that work properly, which honestly isn’t always a given in boutique properties.
Amenities & Service
What I appreciate here is that they focus on doing fewer things really well rather than promising everything. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building, air conditioning works efficiently (crucial for Split summers), and the staff seems genuinely helpful rather than just going through motions. There’s no fancy spa or multiple restaurants, but you know what? You don’t need that when you’re steps away from some of Split’s best konobas and the beautiful Adriatic coastline. They provide good local recommendations too — the kind that feel like insider tips rather than tourist trap suggestions.
Why Couples Love It
The feedback about couples rating this place highly makes complete sense once you experience it. The rooms have this intimate, sophisticated atmosphere that feels special without being overly romantic in a cheesy way. The industrial design creates interesting shadows and textures that photograph beautifully (if you’re into that), and the location gives you options — quiet evenings in the neighborhood or easy access to Split’s nightlife scene. Plus, there’s something about the modern aesthetic against Split’s ancient backdrop that creates this cool contrast. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’ve discovered something a bit different, which couples seem to really appreciate when they’re exploring Croatia together.

Spacious
Great location
- The room (room 3) was modern, clean and the a/c worked pretty well considering we were there during a heatwave. Bathroom and shower was also spacious.
- Location was also quite ideal, a 10 minute walk to the old city.
